Boxing Workout with Coach Troy

Build Strength and Confidence Through Boxing

Introduction


Coach Troy begins with an explanation of equipment options for the workout, including boxing gloves, weights, or even cans of soup, making the session accessible for everyone.

Warm-Up and Stance


Participants are guided into a proper boxing stance with feet shoulder-width apart, one foot back, elbows in, and hands up. Breathing techniques are emphasized to enhance focus and endurance.

Combinations Overview


The workout introduces progressive combinations starting with simple movements (e.g., 1, 2, 1, 2, 3) and gradually increasing in complexity. Each combination targets various boxing techniques, including jabs, uppercuts, hooks, and slips, ensuring a full-body workout.

Core Routines

  • Combination 1: Jabs and uppercuts to build rhythm and coordination.
  • Combination 2: Hooks and body shots to enhance power and range of motion.
  • Combination 3: Slips paired with punches to improve agility and defensive movements.

Freestyle Finish


The session concludes with a one-minute freestyle round, allowing participants to apply their skills creatively and burn extra energy.
