NUTRITION FOR PD

About
Carolee Horner provides group and individual functional nutrition services. Through her Educational Workshop series learn how nutrition plays an integral part in Parkinson’s healthcare management and how Nutrition is Medicine. Nutrition is crucial for people living with Parkinson's disease as it provides the necessary energy and nutrients to support muscle function, maintain strength, and enhance overall health. A balanced diet can help manage weight, reduce inflammation, and improve mobility. Proper nutrition also aids in preventing secondary health issues, such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, that can further complicate movement difficulties. Additionally, specific nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids can support brain health, while proteins support muscle repair and maintenance, making good nutrition a key component in managing and improving the quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson's.
